As with the fabulously received XX, Kontoh & Lucas Darklord's X was recorded in 2009. This recording is not exactly a fair capture of the experience, and rather served as recording experiment, interesting in it's own right, that led to the stunning majesty and exactitude found on XX.

Recorded in the same insect and vermin infested trillion dollar studio, and from which you can still detect the special qualities afford those most special of recordings that use organic acoustic treatment such as numerous species of spiders, cockroaches, silver fish, wasps, crickets, leeches, snails, slugs, black berry canes, rats, mice, and so on. As well as the particular dwellings of all of these assorted creatures. Further, on occasion, there can be spotted giant and corrupted variants of the various species. These as best avoided.*
