Viktorianna - SPW A7V

A little while ago, we released the Viktorianna / HäxenexäH split with archival recordings from 2006. Since then, both projects have been revived. The former is presented here and you will notice that the sound has changed considerably! The ambient sound has disappeared for a large portion and has been replaced by a somewhat industrial approach. A remarkable transformation!

The song that Viktorianna presents here is inspired by the first World War. The guest vocals by Hekte Zaren aka. AmortE makes this piece all the more compelling. In fact, if Spielberg’s movie ‘Schindler’s List’ was about World War I, this would have been the perfect soundtrack! It starts as a totally claustrophobic experience, only to evolve into a gripping finale. The song is a battlefield, for it also evokes memories of ‘Symphony No.3’ from Henryk Górecki. Courtesy of Hekte Zaren’s spellbinding chants.
